Torsten dos Santos Arnold, M.A. studierte Geschichte, Maritime Geschichte und Anglistik/ Kulturstudien in Göttingen, Dresden und Lissabon. Masterarbeit (2014) zu historischen Schiffswracks als Quellen für die Maritime Geschichte d. 17. Jhd.; Forschungspreis d. portugiesischen Gesellschaft f. Wirtschafts- u. Sozialgeschichte (APHES, 2013) f. d. Erforschung des portugiesischen Kupfer-Pfefferhandels zu Beginn d. 16. Jhd.; Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter (2/2015-6/2018) am DFG-Projekt The Globalized Periphery“ und Promotionsstudent (EUV Frankfurt/ O.). Forschungsschwerpunkte. europäische Wirtschafts- und Sozialgeschichte im globalen Kontext (15-19 Jhd.), europäische Kulturgeschichte (15-19 Jhd.).
